PROGRAMS OFFERED FOR THE 2009/2010 SEASON


PreSchool Skate is part of the CanSkate program designed to introduce very young skaters to the ice. (5 & Under) 2, 1/2 hour sessions per week. 

CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program for beginners of any age that teaches fundamental movements and basic skills. (5 & Up) 2, 1 hour sessions per week.

JumpSkate is an introduction to StarSkate program which focuses on developing skills necessary to excel in StarSkate. 3, 1 hour sessions per week.

STARSkate Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. 3, 1 and 1/4 hour sessions per week. 

CanPowerSkate is an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. (6 & Up) 1, 1 hour session per week for 8 weeks.

CanPowerSkate's Pre-Power is designed to develop basic skating abilities in a power skating-specific environment, including balance skills, forward and backward skating, stopping, turning and agility skills. (5 & Under) 1, 1 hour session per week for 8 weeks.

 

New to Programming this season!!

SynchroSkate  or "synchro" is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. All ages. 1- 45 minute session per week

Off-Ice dry-land conditioning classes that contribute to the overall physical strength and agility of skaters.
